- Start the car
- Press the toggle button once; lock LED will begin slowly flashing
- Adjust locked timing using the + and - buttons and verify with a timing light
- Press the toggle button again to return to normal mode
- Apply 12 volts to the brown lock wire; the lock LED should illuminate solid and your timing should lock to specified advance

The following table lists the modes of operation:

Set locked timingSlow blink ~ 1.5/secLocked timingNote 2
Set Rev-Limit LowMedium blink ~ 3/secLocked timingNote 3
Set Rev-Limit HighFast blink ~ 6/secLocked timingNote 4

Note 1: ‘Locked’ mode will be activated anytime the brown lock wire is connected to 12 volts.

Note 2: Press the ‘Toggle’ button to switch between ‘Normal’ and ‘Set locked timing’ modes. Use the + and – buttons to adjust the locked timing. Verify with a timing light.

Note 3: Rev the engine to the desired RPM. Press and hold the ‘Toggle’ button and then press the ‘-‘ button once to set the lower rev-limiter. Press the + and – buttons to adjust as needed. The lower rev-limit is activated by connecting the blue 2-step wire to ground.

Note 4: Rev the engine to half the desired RPM. Press and hold the ‘Toggle’ button and then press the ‘+‘ button once to set the upper rev-limiter. Press the + and – buttons to adjust as needed. NOTE: This mode uses a divide by two circuit to make setting the rev-limit easier. Setting your rev-limit to 2600 will yield an actual rev-limit of 5200 rpm. The upper rev-limiter is always active.

Reset settings: To reset all settings to defaults press and hold all three buttons simultaneously, then key on.
